The girls put together over 1000 mini s'more kits for the winterfest as service to the kids that got to attend. They did an amazing job and the kids had so much fun.

Give Thanks

Thanksgiving was a fun day here at Falcon. The girls hung out in PJ's, ate lots of food, and watched movies. They focused on what they are greatful for having and all the service and work they have done in the past couple weeks.
They have worked very hard and continue to grow and learn more about themselves everyday. Our focus has been to give Thanks in Everything.

Huntsmen Senior Service

This is the 4th year we have helped and served at the Huntsman Senior Games.
We have spent the last 2 weeks working really hard for the Senior games, we have scored for 3 on 3 and scored for Softball.
It has been a lot of long hours and hard work. The girls have stayed focused, worked together, and had to really trust eachother. It has been a very rewarding service project and we look forward to next year.

Trees at the Ranch

Trees in Autumn
Splash red -
A rush of autumn leaves that
Bled away their beauty as they
Died upon the breeze.
Frost.
Leaves lost.
Stocky frames -
Thinning at the dendrites -
Animate their colour under dusk:
A paling brown,
Emerging grey -
Deeper, darker -
Leads to black:
Silhouettes braced for winter,
Like monuments of hardiness
Against the freeze.
Barely hanging overhead, charcoal-grey chassis
Buckle under silent flow of ever-stacking billows
While stings in the face foretell the ice-blight.
An arrow-bound wind builds,
Penetrating flesh,
Whistling out its warning
To the nakedness of winter woods -
Fair-weather green coats too fickle for the stay.
Summer died upon another eon.
Autumn scampered from the chill.
But the trees fought back; upheld their dignity -
No fuss, pomp, or thrill.

Oh the Places you'll Go Famly Weekend

The girls worked really hard on their dances and everything that they had to get done for family weekend.
It was a great weekend filled with fun, family and friends.
We want to share some of our favorites from Dr. Seuss
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...”
“You're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So... get on your way!”

“You'll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You'll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life's a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.”

Just want to say Thank you to everyone for all the help. We couldn't have done it without you!

Peter and The Star Catcher

Peter and the Star Catcher is a wildly theatrical, hilarious, and imaginative story of how an orphan came to be Peter Pan, the captain got his hook, and a young girl inspired everyone to believe.
We had a great time in Cedar touring the play area and getting to know some of the Cast and Crew. We spent the day going backstage, seeing props, make up, and workshops to do with the work that goes into getting a play together.

Because Animals Matter Service Project

The girls had a great time this past weekend helping out as BAM volenteers.
Because Animals Matter (BAM) was founded BAM in March, 2006 by J. Schilling after seeing a need in the community for an animal welfare organization. BAM serves the Hurricane Valley and surrounding areas as a resource for many companion-animal related issues. BAM is fully funded by donations, wills, and bequests, and functions entirely on the support of volunteers. We do not receive any state or federal funding, nor are we a United Way agency. Whenever possible, BAM offers animals for adoption through a network of foster homes, as we work without a traditional facility.

Trust Walk

This slide is of an activity that I took the girls on a couple weeks ago.
With 2 different groups we walked up the river about a mile and hung out. We talked about trust and why we trust others.
When we reached the top we played in at the river and hung out for a bit.
When it was time to go back I lined the girls up and they had to put a blindfold on and 1 of there peers led them back to the ranch without knowing who it was. The girls did amazing and worked together.
The lesson some of them took from this is that
"It's not about the beginning or end of something, it's about what you get in between"
